For all you gunsmiths out there:
I ordered a go- gauge for a reamer that is based off a 6BR that will make it an improved case with a 40 degree shoulder. The go-gauge that was sent from the reamer manufacturer has a 30 degree shoulder. When I called to question whether this was the correct gauge for me, I was transfered to the "shop foreman" who told me that they make all their AI go-gauges to the configuration of the parent cartridge. He said this was the way P.O. Ackley did all of them, and was necessary to make sure I got the .004 crush. Is he blowing smoke up my ass, or is this what you would use for any Ackley Improved chamber? I am not a gunsmith, but don't see how this can work for head-spacing properly.
Thanks
