I’ve always used blue painters tape under the chamberWhen glueing into a stock, how do you control the flow of the JB Weld (or whatever other material) forward of the recoil lug? On every stock I have bedded thus far, I have had a significant amount of material flow forward under the chamber area of the barrel that I then had to remove after removing the barreled action from the newly bedded stock. If you are intending to end up with a completely free floated barrel, how do you ensure that you haven't allowed any bedding material to find its way forward of the recoil lug?
Remember you can still take off the barrel.. Plenty wax on the barrel in that area.
Put it on hand tight to bed/glue incase you need to remove itThanks, I had not thought about removing the barrel to clean up any excess.
