glue in question

When you'all do a glue-in, do you glue just the bottom or bottom and sides. What's your thinking.

Disclaimer !!! I've never done a glue in, but I have thought about it a lot. I don't see how you could avoid gluing the sides. When you push the action down into the stock there has to be a little excess glue that gets forced out. Are you planning on reaching down in there and scraping this excess glue out ?

I was wondering if the glue that is displaced from the bottom was the only glue used on the sides.

I can see the glue around all the edges between the receiver (Bat) and the stock, (Robertson), on my one and only glue-in. Work done by Tom Merideth.

Use glue on all the bedding surfaces. JB Weld is the most popular choice.
