glock info

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to do a lot of training for example, 9 is a heck of a lot more affordable. You get a lot more bang for your buck. Pun intended!!! What are you planning on doing with it?

Build it in whatever caliber you're most interested in. (e.g. 9mm Action Express) I've decided to stick with 9mm Luger, but that's just me.

My definition of a home defense pistol: a device which makes multiple scary noises while you make your way to a shotgun.

9mm makes more noises per magazine.

9mm by all means. Less problematic than the Sig cartridge lower recoil than the 40 (back on target faster) I have a 1st gen. model 17 you'd have to pry from my cold dead hands. All the positives none of the negatives.

Times sure have changed. With the advent of the newest and best performing 9 mm bullets seems to have really set the 40 Cal back a bit. My duty pistol has been a glock 22 in 40 Cal for well over 10 years. At the time we made the change, the 9 mm bullets just couldn't compare to any 40 in one shot stopping power. Today that has done a 180° turn. Today 9mm performance is on par with the 40 but much more user friendly and firepower is greater. Many depts are going to the 9mm because of it and lower ammo costs. It's a win, win.
