glass bedding

If Im bedding a stock with a magazine box,is it neccesary to bed the entire action area as theres very little room for epoxy around the magazine cutout area plus the wall thickness there is tiny and I imagine any flex in the stock would break the bedding around that thin area.Im thinking the only place to bed is the recoil lug area and no more than that.Im open to suggestions guys.

I bed my Remington and Winchester actions the way Catshooter describes, but if you're bedding a two-screw Savage action bed the area under the rear bridge and let the tang float. It's very common to bend this Savage action if you bed under the tang.

You'll notice that the rear action screw in the Savage is the one in front of the triggerguard. The screw at the rear of the triggerguard just screws into the stock.
