Glass Bedding an action--How Far Out?

I am getting ready to glass bed my 6br stock. The barrel is a krieger HV taper 27 1/2' long. How far beyond the recoil lug would you guys carry your glass bedding? Is 2' too far?

I think 1.5' to 2' is about optimal.

Yeah, that is about right, but first, I would try it full floated. You can bed it afterward if the full float does not suit you.

Fully floated from the lug to the end works well for me, even with long 1.350's....
