Glass beaded chrome moly steel corrosion resistance

I have a Defiance Tenacity action a customer wants glass bead blasted for flatter finish. (not to be confused with alum oxide media for Cerakote prep) I bead blast stainless all of the time for matte finish. The action and bolt are polished to shiny finish. The action is stainless and the bolt is CM. Will the CM bolt finish be more likely to corrode if I glass bead blast it to match the action and barrel?

That would be a bad choice IMO. All the raw CM I have will rust like crazy in just open air, unless it’s pickled, painted, coated etc.

Check with defiance and see if the bolt is plated and what with? If it is something tough you may be able to blast enough to knock the shine off. Ask them and see what they recommend.

I have a Howa that is CM and Cerakoted to matt silver. May be a solution?
