It doesnt help a lot with the ginex primers. I use one too. The SRP are a little easier but not by much. I seat mine with a ram prime. Cant do them with my hand primerUse KnM 3in1 uniformer. Brilliant piece of kit. Worth its weight in gold.
Does it take material off the walls of the primer pocket? If not, how would it help seat a tight primer?Use KnM 3in1 uniformer. Brilliant piece of kit. Worth its weight in gold.
I've been thinking about trying Ginex in some of my well used practice brass as well. My concern is I currently stick with cci 450's due to the cup being thicker and tougher than other srp's that I've tried. Ginex makes 2 versions of small rifle primers. Which one do you use, and how would you compare their resistance to blanking to a 450?Been using the Ginex primers in my .308 Practice Brass for the cases that pockets got big on , somewhere around 25-30 reloads . Some of these cases now have over 40 reloads on them , and when the pockets get to big for the Ginex , they get trashed .
Haven't noticed any real difference in velocities , and they shoot the same average 197 - 198's I've been shooting .
Just bought another 5,000 for another "rainy" day . Or when that "OTHER" Political Party gets back in power again .

Use the 556 4.5/3N. They have a thicker cup. I have blanked ( pierced) the small rifle.
IMPORTANT; call to find out which exact model they are selling!
I ordered form Tactical Shit.com. they clearly advertised 556 primers but sent a case of small rifle thin cup primers! No returns.
I use the 4 , 5/3-N for 5,56 primer from Ginex . It is the only one I have ever seen available in my area as a SRP .I've been thinking about trying Ginex in some of my well used practice brass as well.
