Georgia Hunting Fun

Just one of 24 bucks I scoped. This one I did not pass on. Used the old '06 carbine for a 188 yard shot. First time I used that gun in near 20 years. FYI ...That's an exit hole. Entrance behind the shoulder on the other side. I am not as dumb as I look.

Happy about that too.

Also "took" three does for meat early on. Used three different rifles but never took any longer shots. Watched 5 different bucks "play" with about a 1/2 dozen does one morning. A nice 8 pt fought a big 6 pt. Thought the 6 pt won until I watched it limp off later. While those two knuckleheads fought another big 6 pt. "nailed" the doe they might have been fighting over.

At one point I thought I was 5speed.

You are allowed two bucks in Georgia. Just not motivated and passed some nice ones to "seed" for next year. May go back later next month or early January. It's oh so much fun.

Yes sir , sounds as if the season has been good to you , and sounds like you got yourself a honey hole . That was a good shot with that rifle at that range also , been a lot of deer killed with them in various calibers .
