SIL mentioned that my daughter was spoiled because he had to open her car door for her? (dum azz, you married her) Don't remember her, her sister OR their Mother EVER having to open their own doors.
Be surprised at the looks I get when opening a door for a Lady, or just about anybody.

Local Banker brings his car in for service and mentions his daughter will be in later.
Daughter maybe 18/19, comes in, boss tells me to take her home in her car and listen for any odd noises. I open her door for her and get this little sheepish Thank You. I ask her, never had a boy open your door for you? No.
Her dad comes in to pick up his car and I mention the door opening thing.
Couple of days later, he stops in and heads over to me.
Tells me his daughter has a new boyfriend and he OPENS the doors for her.

I wish people would teach them at home. I do & did with my kids, doing my best to live as an example, omitting the term cowboy.
As far as leftists are concerned, unfortunately it's not limited to them alone. Too many people have a problem with each one of the codes when it proves inconvenient or difficult.

Older generation was pretty much taught by their Fathers and Mothers.
RESPECT your ELDERS!! But, respect is earned not automatically given.

I just shake my head when I see young "boys" walking ahead of their KNOCK OUT girl friends ? Guessing the Girls think they CAN'T find someone better?

Two young gradsons in their early teens came back to California for a family wedding. Hadn't seen them since they were 8/10 or so. First thing they did was see Grandma and each of them took her arm and walked her to her seat. Young gentlemen in training.

My guess is that it'd be the same ones now pushing critical race theory, drag queen story telling hour and sex education for kindergartners. Oh, and the ones who think men can have babies, don't know what a woman is and that it's ok to sexually mutilate children for "gender affirmation".

I think the key problem is that God is being pushed out of this country and out of people's lives. Churches are becoming polluted with doctrines that are NOT in the Bible. Parents haven't taught their children these qualities. If you believe in God and live His principles, you will be harassed and silenced. The principles aren't Gene Autrie's, they are in the Bible. Every day it saddens me to see what people accept including show they produce in Washington for our entertainment.

Spot on. It is the parent’s job. Not the government, teachers or the politicians.

You want prayer in schools? Teach your kids to pray at home.

Teach your kids about God at home. They will carry what you teach them to school or wherever they go. I do not want teachers or any other government employees teaching my kids their spin on religion.

I've been in or around the cattle business for all of my life.It's still one of the most honest types of business there is,oftentimes a handshake and a man's word is all that's needed,but there are more and more of the shady types in the business than there used to be.I still wear the hat and the boots and try to live by the way of the old timers and it's served me well in life.My wife always gets her door opened for her,she is always on the side of the sidewalk away from the road and she's not heard a loud word or had a hand laid on her from me.Our two boys are the same way.It's sad to see the way the younger men are sometimes,especially the more urbanized ones.I heard a woman say that all men are dogs a while back and I quickly thanked her.She looked at me like I was nuts until I told her that the world would be a better place if we were as loyal and loving as a good dog.One of those very rare moments when I actually got ahead of a woman in a conversation.
