The Federal government is emasculated and inept in dealing with the major worldwide problems…so they flex their muscle on the innane, adversely affecting the individual, which reinforces in their twisted thinking and supports in their minds how powerful they are when they know what is best for you. 100% combustion does not exist in our in-home gas appliances. The result is the release of nitrous dioxide, water vapor, and carbon monoxide into the home. Gas furnaces are vented to the outside for a reason. Unvented fireplaces, stoves, and heaters vent byproducts into our well insulated/sealed homes. Years ago, I had my basement finished by a well-respected contractor. He talked me out of wall mounted natural gas unvented heaters. There's no doubt combustion byproducts contribute to increased rates of upper respiratory infections and asthma. Vent your heaters and stoves to the outside, and you should have no problems.

Till then unless you have a UPS/invertor, solar panels and batteries or a gas generator your dead in the water if your house is 100% dependent on electricity, traffic lights everything is dead and you can imagine how much fun that is in a big city. Next round is 22:00-00.30 and then it kicks of tomorrow morning at 06:00-08:30 for the next round, every day 7 days a week fken 365 days. They said no it will only be 2 weeks to flatten the curve mmm where have i heard that before.

So a simple/low cost solution would be a powered range hood vented outdoors…

Detroit Edison may be just one power company that can’t keep up with demand. Beginning in March they will institute a billing program that charges more for electricity used during peak hours. So what happens when more EV are on the road and need charging during peak hours?Combine that with additional electricity use during those same hours due to the elimination of gas cooking and heating equipment and what do you have? Yep. Brown outs and total outages. The solution will have to be more generating infrastructure. So how do you generate more electricity? More gas, oil, nuclear, and coal burning. The other “solution” has to be solar and wind and these aren’t exactly without draw backs. It’s a slippery slope, folks.
