Garmin problem, wont download

Havnt used it since last september, it was dead dead. charged it up, worked fine, got home to connect to tablet and no go.
called garmin after pairing several times, when i go to bluetooth and hit settings, it says i need an app for that. its there and open???
garmin had me un install the app, re install, pair, same thing. then she asked me to delete 1 shot in a file, and that file went to the tablet right away. she had me send a report to her via email for the engineers to look at, but havnt heard back yet.
anyone have this before???? its worked so well for so long.

It sounds like when you charged it and powered it on, it did a software update and that caused a glitch. I know the last update mine did, I kinda had a similar problem.
 
it did do an update when i charged it, i did hear back from garmin, they asked if it worked on another tablet which it does not.
how did you fix it?????
 
Check to see which software version was installed and make sure it is the current version available.

Also, I would do a hard reset on your tablet, then disconnect the Xero from Bluetooth on the tablet, and then pair it again.

I had a similar issue where I hadn't used mine in more than a month and I still had sessions showing in app and unit. It would show blue tooth connected on the phone but the unit would only say waiting to connect and it would never sync. I turned BT off and on, same with the unit and no help, same same.

I ended up uninstalling the app and re-installing it, then it would sync and work fine with no changes to the unit. Not exactly same as your issue but I'm thinking they did an app update and introduced a bug at least for those that hadn't sync'd in a while. My solution for this will be... use it regularly :cool:
 
tried it tonight and it downloaded the most recent sessions, but not all in the garmin. did the cloud thing, but that didnt work. I didnt connect the garmin to the laptop, so it must be something in the app that made it work. somewhat back in business.
 
I wonder if the changes made to the app due to the new Xero 2 have anything to do with it? I know the Xero 2 has features that the 1 doesn’t have but yet they both use the same app. Just something to consider I guess.
