I am going to buy some pingpong balls and tape them to some string and hang them from some sort of horizontal board holder thingy [ I ain't figgered that part out quite yet ]. Should be fun with them blowing around in the wind AND the effect of the wind on the bullet.

It will be interesting to see if the 6 or 30 does best.

rayjay: We tried the ping pong balls several years ago at one of my clubs, to try and get some interest in B.R. shooting. Mounted solid on a pointed rod, pushed in the ground, and hung by strings. All at 200 yd. Results were disappointing. In the majority of hits, bullet just passed thru without any type of "blow-apart" effects. Ball would turn-around, so you could not see the hole. You might want to try 2 or 3 only, before buying a large amount, as I did at "Dicks". Someone suggested punching a small hole, filling with water & freezing. never got around to trying that: there just aren't that many who are interested in any type of precision shooting, at least around here.

or maybe inject the ping pong balls with red paint. Should be pretty dramatic I would think. Just need to get a 25cc syringe and an 18guage needle. Should work great, just need a friend in the medical field....

savet06 all that stuff can be bought at your local TSC or your local farmer supply store.

Take empty soda cans, fill with water completely full, then shoot. They blow up, sometimes, wildly. Hit with rifle bullets they usually jump and bust open. Hit with a .500 S&W, they turn into a sort of water hand grenade!

Take small empty water bottles, refill, add a little liquid Rit dye that you can get at any grocery store ,red works great) and shoot those. At 300 yards, they fly pretty good and spray red water all over the place.

Tannerite....need I say more? :thumb:
