Fulton armory ar308 gas tube length.

I have a lr308 dpms pattered criterion barrel from fulton armory. Assembled everything as normal. Then got to the gas tube and this thing looks short. It barrely makes it to the front part of the notch in the top of the upper. Normaly they are around halfway. Well I figured I would give it a shot to see if by a miracle enough gas makes it to cycle and to no suprise it short strokes. So here I sit wondering. How much longer is a armalite tube? Any freak chance they have it patterened dpms minus the tube spec? I am all ears. This is my first fulton barrel. Thanks, Matt

There is about a 1/4" difference between the two.

I have used both lengths in Fulton 308 with no problems.

Thanks, I guess I will just order up one and roll on. Wonder why they run the longer tube and call it dpms pattern? Matt
