FTR National Record ?

Is the current record was 200-12x?

This is for 20 shots at 1000 yards FTR

Per the NRA National Record look up......http://compete.nra.org/national-records.aspx

High Power Rifle F-TR 20 shots @ 1,000 yards PHILIP KELLEY 200-5X 10/14/2012

I know several that were shot and never made the Book, bad or lost paperwork is all I heard from the NRA when questioning my Tournament Reporting of National Records.

Yeah... As far as I know, Mid Tompkins had shot a 200-9X @ Camp Perry in 2013 (he lent me that rifle for one day @ the 2014 BSWN), and Derek Rodgers shot a 200-11X and a 200-12X @ the USA FCNC in 2014 @ Ben Avery (I scored one of those, and saw both targets). So far as I am aware, 200-12X @ 1000yd is the current record to beat.

If you expect the NRA's website to be accurate or updated in anything resembling a timely fashion... better lower your expectations.

You'd think that the NRA would at least manage to get national records updated from their own freakin' championships, though. I know, I know... lower expectations... ::)

Don't get me started. 4 national records set at MN matches last year and all had perfect paperwork filed. 10 months later, the response is still "We are understaffed".

Very disappointing!

It's not hard to check and not have to depend on hearsay. Go here:
http://compete.nra.org/national-records.aspx
Then select as follows:
RIFLE
F-CLASS -TR....
INDIVIDUAL HP RIFLE LONG RANGE...
20 SHOTS 1000 YDS...

Search and look at the Senior record established in 10/2014 and you'll see what Bill was talking about.

They have finally updated everything. I just talked to them Friday. If you look on their site now, you will see the new records. The certifications will be mailed out this week..

The problem is that the website is hardly ever up to date.

I said to look at the SENIOR record, which is what Bill is referring to. It's NOT 200/12 it's 198/11.
Senior Daniel Pohlabel Englewood, OH 198 11 10/27/2014

I believe Match 4 on day 2 of the Stars & Bars. I don't think the math is that difficult. 199-7 is a higher score than 198-11.

Ben;
I think they are up to date for 2014. Records set this year have not been entered yet.
