All the way !Flexpod
Over time the adjustment
I don't see any of that with the Duplin, then again I also don't use my bipod to get my final elevations. I need the pod to get me into the range of the 9 ring and I move my rifle in the bag for that. I do that even with the JoyPod. If I used them differently I might have experienced it.
If you are happy with it shoot it till it gets wobbly. Eventually the top of the adjustable Sinclairs gets very wobbly and worn out. After that look for your next one. I shot one for a couple of yrs.
The Duplin and the Phoenix are super easy to get set up, and you never run out of travel down the way you do on your Sinclair as the bag starts to settle.
There is an instant cure for them hop in a sinclairWhat's wrong with the sinclair?
Should I replace mine even though I see no particular problems?
That said, Flex-pod !There is an instant cure for them hop in a sinclair

Yep, not a hop generator. The answer to the conundrum is SorbothaneI'm not following this and I'm afraid i might want to.
I've never noticed hop.
Maybe because the most recoil my sinclair has seen is 77gr 223 in a 12+ pound gun??

I had a Sinclair gen 2 when I was shooting a .223 in a 12 pounder. It worked just fine, no hop or twist. I shot 80grainers. You have a gen 3 with the elevation adjustment. I have that one also, but I only ever used it with a .308. As I said earlier I found that it twisted more than the gen 2. But I doubt it twists at all with your setup. If it works for you, keep it, knowing that at some point you can always upgrade if you feel the bipod is an issue.
You should also consider going to an 80 gr bullet right away, if you're shooting F-class.
NopeThanks
I've been unable to work up any enthusiasm for getting into handloading.
Ammo upgrade will probably be a thread of it's own sometime this winter
Would 80s be appreciably better than 77 for my 200yd local matches?
I've never shot an F-class match under 300 yards, so I can't help you there. When I was shooting a .223 in F-TR, I started off with various bullet weights for the different distances. I soon discovered that was madness. I also discovered that the 69gr SMK was more precise than the 77gr SMK at 300yards and the 75 A-max was better than either. At 1000 yards I was using the 80gr JLK and finally started using that bullet at all distances. I made High Master at mid-range with that combo back in 2011 but could never get beyond Sharpshooter at 1000. That's when I switched to .308.Thanks
