Front Sight Availability

Currently acquiring components for a smallbore match rifle and front sights seem to be problematic.

Word on the street is that Mr Riles is the only one around still offering new products, but getting in touch is tough (have been trying for two months with no luck).

Where can a fella find a tall front sight that will work on a tubegun (AN1) chassis? The threaded barrel extension is .855" OD at the muzzle. Any other ideas?

Go to Champions Choice, www.champchoice.com and look at their sight selection. They have a tall stem 22 mm front sight that should do the job. Try to call Scott in the morning. Otherwise, put the word out on one of the forums and see what you get. Wayne Forshee quit making Right Sights some time ago. The most common sight tenon diameter is .750 inch. I am not familiar with a threaded barrel extension on a SB rifle.

Tried calling riles, again no answer and a full voicemail box. Hope he's alright. Also loked at the Mo's tall front sight...out of stock and .750".

Didnt want to buy used, but new made tall front sights seem to be extinct.

You can call Mo at 203-775-1013. He has 22mm's available. He may have a base in the dia. you need.

If there is enough material, you could have the barrel extension turned down to accept the more popular and available .750 front sights.

Thanks for all of the generocity! Will take some measurements on sunday to see if turning down the extension is doable. Might just have to have a mdchinist mske snothr from thicker-walled steel.

Will post pictures and see what we come up with.

BTW- anyone hsve measurements on a Champions Choice barrel extension? Muzzle diameter? Could I order a .860" extension mount and a 10" .750" extension? (I'd call to ask, but they're shut down until whenever)

Try calling Champion's Choice. I placed an order last Friday and it shipped on Monday so somebody is there.
