Front rest

Does anyone have a plan or idea on how to mount a Caldwell BR Front shooting rest to a heavier base for F-Class ? I have looked and can’t find a affordable front rest. Thanks for ideas and any other help.

You could do like many have done with other front rests and have a triangular base plate made out of steel or aluminum. I think aluminum would add 6-7 lbs and steel 15-20 if they were 1/2" thick.

You would then need to drill and tap holes the the legs. You could even run a Sinclair Speed Screw on the front.

Here is a fancy one that is no longer made, but it is a rough idea of that you can do. The plate is different in the second pic, but same idea.
