FRONT REST CASE

What is everyone using to transport and store their front rests? Thanks.

I use a Pelican hard case sold by Sinclair Intl for that exact purpose. Foam interior that the user cuts to fit the rest, so the rest is secure inside and cannot move about during transport. A bit spendy, but well worth it. I've used mine now since the late '90's with complete satisfaction. Other than the case being bright yellow, I love it.

But being bright yellow, it never gets forgotten when I'm packing up for a trip. :D

Late Edit: The below posters are correct....it is indeed a SKB case. Don't know where my brain was, maybe it was lack of morning coffee.....

Not a pelican if it yellow and from Sinclair.. It is a SKB. I use the same case. A SKB for sure.. Tommy MC.I too got it from Sinclair..

I've been using various sizes of Pelicans because of the wheels and handle combination. The model will vary with the size of the front rest. I don't use the foam but rigid reinforcement pieces in the bottom of the case to bolt the rest down to. I can't lay claim to idea since I first saw it here in the Classified section. You can start with their model 1510 and go bigger as needed.

Regards.

I use this for my NEO and rear bag
Sterilite 18419004. Its a perfect fit
side to side. I cut a piece of styrofoam
to fit the extended leg which contains
the rest from moving front to rear.
The foam is the same thickness as the leg,
making a level surface to set the rear bag on.
Hold on to your wallet, this box is PRICEY,
$12.75 bought online from Walmart. Works
for me. LDS

I found this cargo cart at Office Depot for $20. Works perfectly for my BE triangle and rear bag with room left over for whatever else. Has 120lb. capacity. Fold flat for storage if need be.

I use a pelican 1610 case for my SEB neo, works great $200

Large gym bag with a piece of plywood added to the bottom. When it wears out I'll get another. I refuse to pay big money on an over priced case.

I like that cart Terry!

It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay two little. When you pay too much you lose a little money, that is it. When you pay too little you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing that you bought it to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better. John Ruskin circa?:D
