front rest box ?

I know I have seen it but my search words didnt give me the results I had hoped
What do ya'll use for a front rest transport box? I happen to have a Bald eagle slingshot type about so need 17plus long and abt 9" plus tall-hoping to stabilize with pluck foam--
Thanks
Mark

There are cheaper alternatives for us to carry our stuff instead of Pelican cases. They have just gotten out of sight on cost. I needed a carrying case for one of my pistols and got a case from Home Depot and the foam from Carolina Custom Foam. This makes for a good case.

Let us know what you end up doing.

Here's my pistol case.

I use a plastic tote with the attached flip/folding lids for all 3 of my BE rests. Available at just about any big box store. A piece of wood in the bottom keeps the leveling screws from damaging the plastic bottom, or raise 'em up. May have to remove the windage adjustment screw but just wrap it up in a rag and lay it down in the bottom. Room for the rear bag(s) as well.

Here is a link with some examples that has been used. I converted a box type tote for the Farley. Plenty big so extra room to make it weigh more (carry more stuff to the range). :)

Ditto. I use a Rubbermade Commercial grade tote called the Brute. I got it at the Ace hardware store. I use it to store and transport a Farley rest, rear bag, pillow bag, and other incidentals I may need at various match venues. I also placed plywood on the bottom. I built an impressive wooden box for my windflags and poles, but it ended up being too cumbersome to use, so they ended up in a large plastic chest-style box - It is storage for powder now. Same problem I would have had with the rests- their weight alone is a challenge to handle, adding additional weight of a container would not make sense.

I use a cheapo long rifle case for my RFBR wind flag tops/tails and just put the stands and the backseat floorboard of the truck. No damage to those in 2 yrs. A guy that shoots in our RF matches built a super nice wind flag box as well, but it is fairly bulky as well. My rifle case lays flat on top of all the other "stuff" in the bed of the truck. The 2 ranges I use allow me to back up fairly close to the benches, so I don't have carry my "stuff" very far. ;)

With some basic carpentry skills you can fashion a lightweight box made from plywood to accommodate nearly anything. The scope case is waterproof, and nearly indestructible. The flag case contains my flags, poles, and stands held in place by velcroed panels, and is about the size of a briefcase.
