Front rest bag recomendation?

I am looking at putting a new front bag on my Cowan rest for my 40x . The stock is 2.480" and I was wondering would you recommend a 2.5" or 3" bag like one of these? I see the Edgewood is only available in 2.250 and 3 . What would you all go with?

I put a Whidden Track Plate on my stock and went with the 3" front bag.
