Edgewood bag in Cowan rest?

Will a standard Edgewood bag work in a Cowan Front Rest? I am wanting to go to a different and better bag.

Thanks

I am using one in my Cowan rest. I think I had to trim the "wings" just a bit to fit in the grooves on the rest top. I like the end result.

Mine is the standard bag. The Cowan top has grooves near the bottom of the front and back rails that hold the side pressure plates. The bottom of the Edgewood bag fits into those grooves. The bottom piece of leather on the Edgewood bag is extra wide so you trim the edges such that the bottom piece of leather fits into both grooves when the rails are bolted to the sliding plate at bottom of the rest. You cannot see the grooves or how the bag fits the groove with the top assembled so sending you a picture seems pointless. I removed the 3 bolts holding the back rail and slid the trimmed bag into the groove of the front rail and then reassembled the top by fitting the groove of the back rail onto the Edgewood bag and replacing the bolts.

I hope this description helps. Let me know if you need another description. I will send pictures if you want them but you cannot see anything.
