From the makers of BarrelCool, Introducing Barrel Blizzard

From the makers of BarrelCool, introducing Barrel Blizzard.

For the shooter wanting to drastically reduce their load development time at the range, the seasonal hunter looking to cold bore map their rifle before the hunting season, or the varmint hunter looking to cool that barrel down and increase barrel life.

Repeated tests show Barrel Blizzard cutting times significantly from 45 minutes, down to less than 10 minutes. Pairing Blizzard with BarrelCool, you can get that hot barrel down to near ambient around 5 minutes. Save barrel life and prolong the accuracy of your rifle!

Feeling hot? You can actually use BarrelCool as a cooling device for yourself. Get some relief from the sun and stay out there shooting.

Having issues with mirage? Point one of the fans down the barrel and help reduce mirage coming off the barrel.

COMING SOON!

Brian,
what do you use for power source?

Two fans draw a lot of juice.

The idea behind Blizzard is to take advantage of the huge surface area of the barrel. By applying cooler, continuous air to the outside of the barrel, closest to the action, we observed through multiple tests that the barrel cools down rather significantly.

People have been doing this for some time with normal fans sitting on their bench, but we have figured out a way to place the fans so they are strategically blowing air in the critical part of the barrel, making it much more efficient.

Joe, we are using a rechargeable 2600 mAh battery. We are getting about 2.5 hours of continuous use out of a battery pack.

Very cool Bryan,
I'll keep watching for it.

It sure would be nice if the Barrel Cool could also run off a rechargeable power pack. The button batteries are a bit expensive. Especially if you forget to turn it off all time. :)

Is this pack running from USB? IE, can I exchange it with my own rechargeable USB battery pack?

Why would you want to? It seems like a nicely self contained unit, easy to move and install on your rifle. Your USB power unit will probably not fit in the middle hole, so it would be more cumbersome. Just my opinion :D.

Those look suspiciously like computer fans.

Is there any potential problems with the IBS rules (or other sanctioning bodies)? I am assuming that a gun using this would need to make weight with it attached.

It would be great for p-doggin!!!
