Free bore ??

Is there a tool or a way to measure freebore?
I know what freebore I want but don't know how to get it.
Is it only in the reamer or how do you use a unithroater to achieve it
I'm lost,and not a gunshot.I'm working off my phone cause hard drive crashed on laptop so pm me if you can help.

You can send a case with bullet seated to your reamer maker. Or you can get a short freebore reamer and a unithroater and throat it to whatever you want. With the unithroater you could change to whatever bullet and depth you want to shoot. Matt

Whats the best route, I have a saami spec reamer I thought about a regrind or throater

You can't add metal to the reamer to increase free bore . You best option is a throated . But go slow once the throat is lengthened it can't be shortened without setting the barrel back .
