What is the correct way to measure Free Bore.
I am currently shooting a 308 with 185 LRBT's. I normally shoot these bullets .030 off the lands.
Is there a section that shows step by step on how to measure Free Bore?
I have reviewed the results of several searches, but I am still not clear on the subject. All I know is at the present time, my bullets are .030 away from the lands. I use the Hornady gauge to determine this distance.
There are some very good articles out there, but I am sure an experienced person would better understand the answers given. I would ask more questions, but I will wait and review the replies before doing so.
