223 Free Bore

What is your goal for the rifle? Target or hunting? Short range, up to 300 yards or out to 600-700 yards?

Hunting varmints and Yotes maybe 400 (?)

My Ruger Predator (1-8") handles Hornady 50-grain VMAX, 52-grain HPBT Match, 52-grain AMAX (now ELD-M), 53-grain VMAX, 55-grain SP and 68-grain HPBT (heaviest I've played with to date) very well. All are loaded to fit the magazine (AR-style). Powders used are CFE223, AA2200 and H322. .223 is a pretty forgiving cartridge for the most part.
