Frankford perfect primer seater

Frankford perfect primer seater users, do you:

1. Use the dial to set the depth. How do you keep track of the settings when switching calibers?

2. Set the dial super deep and just seat by feel?

3. Use Lee shellholders, because the Frankford ones are pretty sloppy?

I bought one on sale but I'm not super impressed. It's just ok. Feels like the flimbsey tray is going to break every time I load it.

1, I bottom out the dial, then count clicks to the depth I want, document the clicks on a white board for each cartridge/brass brand.
2. Unscientific, I use a lighted magnifier to view the depth of the primer. I've uniformed the primer pockets. As I see it, the benefit of this seater is not having to seat by feel. Bottom out the thumb lever, it should be where I want it.
3. Rarely, a primer will catch the edge of a primer pocket. I figure it's my brass, not the shell holder.
The tray does feel flimsy. The snap over on the cover is a little weird, but it's never broken or caused a problem. I've read that the RCBS primer tray fits. They don't fit my unit.

Through a little early trial-and-error, I found a seating setting that literally works perfectly for all of the six calibers that I reload. Haven't touched the dial in a couple of years, and get a perfect seating every time. I love this gadget, and won't touch the dial as long as it's giving me such great results.
