Frankengun. yours? Let's see em.

Likely the Creedmoor, wind really blows the little 223 around compared to the 6.5. I havn't had an opportunity to shoot the FTR rifle in competition yet. Matches haven't fit with my schedule. I worked up a load but have shot no groups with it.

Here's mine. 1960's R700 ADL action, 22-250 factory takeoff brrl from ads here,223 stock from here,Simmons scope was a freeby with some issues that I fixed. Shooting Lee 225-55 cast at starting jacketed velocity into bragging groups. I'm much more of a sporter brrl, hunter so this gun doesn't make it very far from the truck because of weight. It's been a fun rifle though. Might even get around to painting the stock?.....or not.

So THAT’S what they mean when they say “MOA all day”

You obviously did your part too ;)

Really nice shooting

That's what a Savage Axis with a hacksaw cut receiver, an ARC Nucleus Barlok barrel nut setup and a 31" barrel looks like.

I still have to face the receiver square to the threads so it's just a mock-up now. Hopefully it will be closer to complete by the end of the week.

Maybe it will be "done" in December or early next year.

I think I am going to make an 18" forend for it and paint it (and other stuff) after I get it sorted out at the range so it's going to be pretty ugly for a while but it will clean up when I get a chance.

Rem M-7, PTG bolt, SS PacNor - 6SLR , MDT with a delrin fore end I whittled in the mill, folder.
etc..... leftover parts made usefull
You did a sweet job on that rifle. Your fore end is perfect.

Ok. Here’s mine. Skeetlee had a Winchester 70 action for sale so I asked him to put a barrel on it in 6.5 Creedmoor and send it to me. I had just received a hunk of Bumblebee so I used it to make a stock. The stock design was influenced by jpretle, who had asked me to make him a prone stock. I bought a PT&G bottom metal mag kit and put the gun together. I mounted my favorite Sightron’s 10-50 scope on it and.....

You did a superb job on that stock. Can you make me one out of bumble bee.

Savage 10 FCP-SR in 6.5 Creedmoor. MDT's LSS-XLGen2 chassis, XLR's Extreme Buttstock, Area 419 Hellfire Break, Atlas BT10 Bipod, Athlon Argos BTR 10-40X56 scope in Vortex Precision matched rings. Ergo Tactical Deluxe Grip (since replaced with an MDT vertical Grip.)

Pretty much as FrankenGunned as I can make it now.

How do you like the MDT vertical grip on that?

I'm waiting for Black Friday to place an order with them. I need magazines (oddball 3.56") and was thinking about their grip.

I was pleasantly surprised with the MDT Vertical Grip - like all MDT stuff it's fit and construction is perfect. It *really* seemed to help with trigger control because I can set/adjust the thickness of the grip and the zero angle makes trigger press straight back. I use the thumb shelf on the chassis and slide my thumb down until I get perfect positioning. Trigger feels like glass breaking now.*SnAp!*

Highly recommended and it's cheap enough that it won't break the bank if it doesn't work out as I'm pretty sure this is not a one size fits all kind of thing.

I just used a ball point pen spring to get my trigger pull down to about 1 pound.

My forend will be made from a piece of 80/20 extrusion.

I don't think it can get more frankengun unless I just start throwing out parts to make my own from raw materials or non-gun parts.
