FPS vs Accuracy Question

just wanted to hear what the common thoughts were on the topic of speed & accuracy.

I provided my thoughts on 'speed & accuracy', and suggested that your LOAD could be a handicap in competition.
There was no malice in this.

Hi, I shoot a 30 inch barreled standard 260, and I also use Acc 4350, but a higher charge than you use but then my COL with 140gr bergers is 2950 thou.
I get just under 2900 fps it is safe in my gun I also use a CED chrono but have found with it you have to make sure the muzzle is at least 12 feet back from the Ist sensor, Quick load is only a Rough guide, I find that on a given powder charge the velocities stated can be as much as 140 fps overestimated, the 260 is a very accurate cartridge, I shoot alongside a friend with a 6.5x284 at 1K his extra speed does not seem to make his scores higher than mine, maybe in open F class we should have a division based on M/Energy that would make 7mms compete against one another, of course still keep the FTR class, but leave the lower M/E guns IE 308s, 223s, 260, 243s, and other 6mms to compete on a fairer playing field . might be interesting ?

QuickLoad departs from everything else because it can be calibrated. While there can be significant differences in barrels, powder lots, and starting pressures, these can be adjusted for.
Hey, at least you CAN do that(unlike manuals).
