Foundation Stocks

There is no better stock out out there. On par with Cerus, Xring, McMillan, or Avila.
I have one for my 6.5 creed and it made such a huge difference when I switched from a chassis. no more chassis for me.

Only issue I have is shooting off a squeeze bag. Even with a low recoil rifle,, part of the stock hammers my index finger.

Has anyone used them? Thoughts? They look like a great stock.

Photos of my Vudoo Gen 3 mounted in a Foundation stock with a typical 10 shot, 50 yard .22 rimfire group. I’ve put about 3000 rounds through this Bartlein barrel combination to date . The combination shoots well enough for me to seriously consider using a new Foundation for my next F-Class mid range Centerfire build.

I have a Centurion cut for my Impact action and really enjoy the ergonomics of the stock. It's heavy which offsets my heavy barrel to give me good balance. The recoil impulse of the micarta composition is a pleasure to shoot. I bought the dark distressed color. I'm very happy with my Foundation.

Here’s one being put together. I sure do like the black ones John is doing. It you buy one you’ll never regret it. Make sure to use an Impact made up to a Bartlein

Under controlled conditions how have group sizes been affected since going from your chassis to the Foundation stock? What distances are you shooting at? Thank you.

I have been shooting at 1000 yds for a local competition. It is just fun among friends, not a sanctioned event. We use only two flags for 1000 yds (one at 400 and one at 700). We spend 10 minutes at the 1050 yd steel to sight in and take 5 sighters at 1000 before 20 shots for record.
Wind is always unpredictable and switch (the lack of flags makes it harder to make good wind calls). I went from a low 180's average to low 190's after I built my new gun on a foundation Samson. Best so far has been 194-5x (full disclosure...I also had a few low 180's scores when the wind is crazy!!).
We use Fclass target faces. I believe with more flags this gun can clean the target.

I feel much better behind the gun (maybe because it fits me better?...not sure). The gun feels much more stable, tracks better over my rear bag. In general, I feel like I am trusting the gun more. I no longer think it's the setup when I miss. I know it's me, or the ammo, or a missed wind call.
The additional benefit is that the inletting of the stock does not even need bedding.

Thank you for your feedback. Very helpful.

Anyone thinking about a Foundation and wanting a different stock configuration might want to wait a bit, I was told there will be an announcement for a new stock in the spring. I had asked about F-Open. I have no more info on this than what's below.

Responses from Foundation 28-Jan-2026:
"Keep your eye out in the next 3-4 months!"
"I think the final design is completed. In testing for the next few months."
