Found Some 7.62 Brass

I was at the range today and someone had left two boxes of Aguila 7.62 brass but they were in two 40 S&W boxes. They look brand new but of course had been fired but I'm wondering what 7.62 they are? All it says on the head is Aguila 7.62 13. They measure about 2.010" x .464". I don't have anything to shoot these with but at least I might have some trading brass with my buddies. There's only 74 of them.

It is more than likely 7.62x39mm russian.Better make sure it is boxer primed first.

Sounds sorta close to 7.7 jap. They are often marked 7.62 cause it's a 311cal bullet just like the 7.62x54r.

That's some valuable stuff if it is Jap ammo. It's hard to come buy. And if it's boxer primed.

come on guys...7.62 2.010 case length ??
you are kidding me
7.62x51

You know stool, I looked in my manuals and found that in the Lyman book but did not know for sure if the 308 win was the correct one or not. The specs on it were very close to what I measured though. Guess maybe I can trade for a box or two of 45 ACP...maybe :)
