Found Primers at LGS Today

OK ! As a sort-of 'Newb" , I came into F-class between the two crisis period , and wasn't sure what the hell was going on till it was almost to late for me , personally . I did have a decent supply of bullets on hand , and a lesser amount of primers , unfortunately due to the fact that "MY" primer of choice was no longer allowed to be imported , by King Barrack , and I was in the process of finding a new primer . And then Remington shut down , but I had managed to find a "reasonable supply" of 7-1/2's . Then powder disappeared from the shelves , but I did have enough on hand for at least a season . If I cut back a little . Point to this is simple .

If somebody wants to put STOO-PID prices on their stuff , it is their prerogative . I DON"T HAVE TO BUY IT !
I may not get to shoot as much F-TR as I would like , but I can shoot my junk Commie SKS , AK and M-N's as much as I want to for the next year or two .

Don't like the price ? Don't buy . But put on your Big-girl panties , and stop whinin about it . Nobodies holdin a gun to your head to force you to buy it to begin with .

 Wandered by a local shop near Bradenton, Fl today. Had taken the wife to lunch and since we were close, we stopped. There they were...CCI and Winchester small rifle of all kinds in 1000 packs. The had a couple or more of large cartons filled with primers. I dug out one box of CCI 41's and one of 400's to take to the counter when I saw this sign posted below.

View attachment 1243935You really don't have to ask. I did place them back into the big boxes neatly. Oh - I would have had to pay $42 tax on top of that $600 price.

Yeah right.

I'm in Bradenton. What shop was this?

If it were as simple as that the same could be said about a lot of things that you can find alternative options to or do without completely.

Many grocery items, alcohol, tobacco products, firearms, electronic devices to include cellphones, full size trucks, etc, etc.

Business practices of any business dictate who gets mine.
It really is as simple as that . If the item ( primers ) is needed for survival , or home defense , then that puts it into a different category of "Need" , over "Want" . Anything , and everything can be rationalized . But Need definitely Trumps want .

Now I'm very confused over all of your comments . I don't remember making any remarks regarding "Business Practices" . If someone wants to charge a price for a item , that is their choice to do so . I could care less what they charge , and they are entitled to do so under our Capitalist system . Exactly which comment did I make regarding "Business Practices" did you take exception to ? Or did I not make a semantically correct comment , that makes for a point of debate for you ? Starting to appear that you wish to debate "semantics" rather than the actual issue .

And for what it's worth ? Determining primers to be a "need" for survival is not a "rationalization" . It is a "Determination" . We "rationalize" for "wants" , but we "determine" choices for needs . The Need to survive . The Need to eat . The Need of protection . "Wants are something that are not necessary for survival . But then we all prioritize differently . Philosophy was never one of my better subjects , because it left to much for interpretation , and conjecture .

Many states have price gouging laws in place, these can apply items other than food, fuel, water. And some states the laws are not tied to natural disasters.

It ain't price gouging. You don't have to have it. Just don't buy them.. Do you want someone to dictate what you do with you stuff..?
Plus I want $400 for mine..
When dealers jack the price up 10X it is price gouging! Stupid people paying the 10X price are a part of the problem! The Federal government passing out free money is like pouring gasoline on the fire.

Today I had a local contact me and ask where to go. He wanted some primers and was eager to go get some of these.

Make of it what you wish.
