Found Primers at LGS Today

Wandered by a local shop near Bradenton, Fl today. Had taken the wife to lunch and since we were close, we stopped. There they were...CCI and Winchester small rifle of all kinds in 1000 packs. The had a couple or more of large cartons filled with primers. I dug out one box of CCI 41's and one of 400's to take to the counter when I saw this sign posted below.

You really don't have to ask. I did place them back into the big boxes neatly. Oh - I would have had to pay $42 tax on top of that $600 price.

I saw that clip of him falling up AF 1 steps. Putin has called him out, to a debate.... He can not navigate steps plus the other baggage he is toting, son and dementia. Stopped on my trip today at a small gun store. They had 10-12k Federal and 3-4K CCI, both large rifle magnum. Federal was $5.00/100 and CCI was $5.50/100. You could buy 200 of each brand. I heard him say they had quite a bit more yesterday.

I'm no handwriting expert, but it looks to me like the DB at the LGS changed his mind and bumped the prices by $100 on the domestic brands, and less so on the S&B. I can imagine the dialogue in his mind: "Screw it, I'm tired of getting screwed by the government and my ex-wife, so if customers don't want to pay these prices, screw them."

With that much hypothetical screwing, maybe he should work in a hardware store or the Mustang Ranch. Or run for political office.

The owner of this shop is quite wealthy and experienced around the world. He is actually a super nice fellow that farms out the business to be run by others who I think are partly volunteers. My guess is he paid top dollar for that stuff as a service to his rather wealthy clients.

He mostly offers exotic European rifles, like drillings and other interesting pieces but does carry normal things. He has ammo available in many calibers also. Sure prices are high but he does have the stuff.

I do not think he really cares if he sells much as the operation of his place does not really depend on sales and is more a rather expensive hobby operation. Before the prices "hit the roof", he had near normal pricing on his offerings. It is actually a very unique place to shop and pretty "laid back" in operation.

My Grandmother had full blown Alzheimers when she pass in her 80s. My Mom had advanced dementia when she passed in her 80s. The blessing was she still recognized myself and my bro.
