Found one!, Ruger American 22WMR

I should see it next week.

My gunsmith gave me an older Nikon straight 10X with a fine crosshair reticle.

He also has the Winchester Supreme 34 gr. HP ammo....

Anyone have one yet, and what are your thoughts?

Should shoot with a Marlin or Savage with a decent (if a little heavy) trigger. Nicer stock IMO.

I can't comment on the performance of the American, but did get to check-out a .22LR version last night for the first time. It looks and feels like a great little rifle with a lot of nice features for it's price point, and the .22 WMR version is now on my want list.

Congrats on the purchase, and please keep us posted on your findings with the rifle!

"this" is like BLACK GOLD!

never thought I would see the day when ammo would be so scarce...

Here she is!

My gunsmith gave me an older Nikon 10X32 to put on her. Weaver #12 bases, Low Millet Rings.

Did the trigger spring removal = 20 oz. trigger, average of (5).

Harris BR Swivel Bipod.

I still have (4) of my older 10/22MAG magazines that I "doubled up".

I removed the front sight as well.

I have been shooting the 22lr variant. At first it was shooting all over the place then I realized I was shooting bad ammo. I switched to Remington Eley, and cci standard velocity. The cci put 5 shots into under a 1/2 inch at 50 yards, and the eley shot about less than an inch. Its a good rifle and feels good in the hand. The raised cheek piece for scope use sounds gimmicky but works well. All in all for a little over 300 a good solid 22lr.
