Foul Out III

does anyone know anything about the outers foul out III good or bad ?? it sounds like a good way to remove metal fouling when not in a hurry.

I've got one and have used it a couple of times on my 25-06. I don't let my rifle go long at all between cleanings but I used the Foul Out and it killed my accuracy until I put about 20 shots through the rifle. It removes ALL the metal fouling. Another shooter at my range had the same experience with a 270. Its a PITA to use, can get real messy if your not very careful and it required about 3 electrolyte changes before it said the barrel was clean. It has been relegated to a dark seldom used lower shelf on my rifle bench.

I have a Foul-Out II. They will strip all the copper,or lead) fouling from a barrel, that's what they were designed for. I've rarely had to change solvent in a barrel, but run time can be lengthy. I especially appreciate them for their ability to remove leading from cast bullets, which mine does really quickly. After stripping the jacket fouling, the nekkid bore does seem to require a few fouling shots before accuracy fully reappears.

Buy a bottle of this:

And I can all but guarantee that you will never screw with anything else to remove copper or lead from a gun barrel again. This stuff is that good. Also, it will never etch a barrel, is odorless, and actually has rust inhibitors in it. Bill T.
