congrats x 10 thats a tough bunch you shot against !wish someone would post all scores, had a little bet and can't get him to answer hmmm

Well John has done it again! The guy is on fire this year. In the preliminary results for the overall Long Range National Championships he is listed as third place with a 1245-63X'sout of a possable 1250. That is 80 rounds for record at 1000 yards and 45 rounds at 800, 900 and 1000 yard Palma match and only went outside the 10 ring 5 times in 125 shots for record! This is some damn good shooting by Mudcat.
While Im sure he had his sights on 1rst place which was only one point ahead of him, this is a magnificent accomplishment over a 4 day period of shooting.
John says he was shooting a 284 for the matches, minus the Palma of course which requires using the 308 or 223 case. I would imagine that both where chambered in his Tubb 2K. Maybe he will give us some details when he gets back and recoverd from such an amazing year at Camp Perry this year.. Its got to feel good.

Great shooting MUDCAT

Thanks Russ and crew! Just back from Perry, unloaded gear, still cleaning rifles and getting ready to head out to Ottawa to shoot the Canadian Fullbore Nationals. Russ is correct, I shot all T2ks all week (cept for one team match where I shot a Bat Palma rifle). 6xc for xtc, 284Win for the LR matches and 308 with 155s for the Palma. I prefer to stay on one type of rifle as they all feel exactly the same, cept for recoil. :-) All of them shoot extremely well, the 284W, in particular, is incredibly accurate.

There was a lot of unbelievable shooters and shooting at Perry this year. Was proud to have been part of it and had a blast, of course! Cant wait till next year.

John,
It was finally good to meet you after doing business with you for all these years. You are truly a gentleman and a fine shooter as well. I really liked the way you went by the book during the Wimbleton, which spoke volumes to me. Once again, thanks for all your help,
Lloyd

John,
Would like to add my congratulations again also. Great job buddy!!! Good luck in Canada and I'll see you again in Butner.
