Forster seating stem & Berger Hybrids

Bought 2 new Forster seating dies in .284 and 6.5x284

im using berger hybrids and both bullets are sticking in the seating stems. Do I need to polish them or do they need to be replaced?

Pull the stem and check the fit to the bullet. You may need to contact Forster and see if they have a stem that fits better.

You may have to drill the hole deeper.

I have bedded the bullet tip in the seater stem, after drilling them deeper.

Just polish a bit.
And if you find the stems bottoming out with bullets, fire the die company.
By now this should not occur with anyone..

I use a Forster micro seating die in .308 with Berger 200.20x without any problems. They don't bottom out and it doesn't leave a mark at the bottom but I did polish and lightly radius the opening in the seating stem. Measured with a Hornady comparator. You may need to slightly polish the opening it it has a sharp edge.

I load 308 - 200-20x Bergers. The load fine with my Forester Micro Seater. Just as accurate as the Wilson but I don't get the feel I get with the Wilson so I just use the Forester for quick down and dirty loads.
