Selecting bullets can be a bit crazy with the choices. A quick email gets a specific answer.Their ordering page is odd, easy to order a tipped bullet by mistake. Couldn't find anywhere the velocity range these bullets were designed for. The 150 tipped t-rex looks like a great hunting bullet.
In the drop down menu, you can narrow it down some if your familiar with normal velocity ranges of a rifle vs SBR vs Subsonic. For 30 caliber as an example 3000fps rifle, 2000 SBR, 1000 sub. 300 Blackout, 300 Hammer will likely have some specific bullets. Again in general, the bullets will have a 1000 fps working window. The bullets won’t lose a petal at higher than designed impact, but may over curl. The only problem with that is instead of having 3x expansion as a cutting edge, it may only be 2x. Also the faster it expands the faster they stop.it dumps the energy, but may not exit.
Bullets sold for cartridges like 300 BLK, 8.6 BLK will be designed to hold up to the higher spin rates, lower velocities.
The descriptions often will give velocity and twist limits, it just takes time to sort through it. Honestly it’s just easier to shoot an email with your basic info of rifle, twist, velocity and intended purpose and they will help you out. Example a different bullet for hogs Than deer.
