Forster seater

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but... Do Forster Ultra Micro seater dies use the same return spring ( or any spring at all for that matter) on the sleeve as the std benchrest seater die?

Mine has a spring

Yes

And, I take the spring out. You get a better "feel" when seating.

Thanks for the replies. I swapped one in out of my std br seater about 2 mins after making this post :) I bought this die set used, but they appear unused aside from that spring missing.

So you like it better without one KMart? I reckon I'm just used to feeling the resistance of the springs, so it seems odd not too. I may give it a whirl though.

Yes, I do. The only resistance you feel is the bullet/case neck. And when you get to the end of the stroke, it is a dead stop. You may have to slow down your stroke a little.
