Forster Coax press

My son says he will take the 1974 rockchucker.
I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sure it went to a good home. I'm a long time Co-Ax user and I still have and use the Rockchucker I bought back in the 70's. Don't be surprised if you end up with another.

I'm not picturing what you are saying, could you explain it a little more? I've had my press for close to 15 years and have always taken the plate that holds the jaws all the way off. If you have a better way, I'm listening.

This guys has some very detailed reviews and tips of the Forster press. Here is the shell plate change video. Autocorrect changed the word platen to plates in my original post.

I would really appreciate it, if anybody could post the thickness of the shell holder jaws. Just want to compare it to the regular shell holder. TIA

That's the only failing I can find with the Co-Ax - the tube could be a shade larger diameter for large size primers. The press really is a brilliant design!

About a year and a half or two ago, after I received my Co-Ax, Forster came out with a new version, the B-4, with mine being the B-3, I believe. Mine was the recent gloss red, and the new one a duller or textured red. I called and inquired about the changes. The major one was in fact a slightly larger diameter primer drop tube, then of course the paint. The catch cup might be slightly different if the pictures are representative of shipped units, but that is probably due to price points quoted to Forster by a supplier(s) for the new version run.
As far as I remember, those are the only changes, with the drop tube being the only one that really matters.
