Forster co-ax Snap in/out Press

Must-have co-ax accessories-

Shorty handle.

About a dozen extra jaw springs ;)

At least 1/2 gross (that's 72 for you metric types) of Forster die rings.

1/8" ball end hex driver about 10" long (for ease of jaw swaps).

I have been using one for over 25 years and i also use differnt sized case rims from 223 to 308 sized cases and 6.5x55 witch is a little larger and belted magnum rims with out any changing or issues.RW

The best thing I ever did to mine was stick the shellholder jaws in a drawer and convert the press to standard shellholders. I like the press for most things, but not all things. I still have an old Lee elcheapo for some functions, an RCBS Partner for some functions, arbor press, etc. I don't prime on it. When I found myself spending more time on swapping press parts around in order to actually load ammo, I had to rethink the whole operation.

I would be really surprised if you didn't like the shellholder upgrade.

Wes you referring to CoAx press?

If so that's what I use. Very fast to switch calibers I'm loading for. Sizes very smooth and collects all primers in a tube so it doesn't make mess everywhere. Takes me probably 5 seconds to change dies to different caliber. Dies are spot on every time.

And it is built well enough that you can C clamp it to bench and size/seat bullets without any slop. Feels equally solid as other press properly secured with bolts.

Co/Ax is the favored press I have found to resize my brass and what made me even happier was finding the right accessories for the OEM unit.

The best/must have accessories I have found for my 5 year old Co/Ax:
  1. Manzgear Shell Holder
  2. Inline Fabrication LED Lights, Short Roller Handle and Easy Access Linkages

Feels like a completely different beast now - its was already great at resizing concentric ammo now its just a lot easier/more enjoyable to use. I did not think the roller handle was going to be a game changer but after using one for my Dillon 1050 I decided to give it a try - wow like a night and day difference. The LED lights are a nice accessory, a person could do surgery in the press working area. Easy access linkages give you an extra inch or so on either side of the working area. The Manzgear shell holder is a thing of pure beauty, if you have ever lost a tension spring or wanted to take away the slop from the OEM unit buy one, you will not be disappointed.

Always like to use an arbor press and chamber style dies to seat bullets - either with the hydraulic force meter or not.

*Not affiliated with either manufacturer in anyway.
