Forster Co-Ax Press

"I find it a bit of a pain to switch from large to small base shell holder"

Me too.........this is how I solved the problem:

As compared to changing one in a Dillon? ;D

I don't find it bad at all, have to switch from L large, to L small to LS small all the time, helps if you get a long ball end 1/8" hex driver.

Co-Ax has lots of features I like a lot, and one I HATE- their primer seating system.

Co-Ax tip- once your original spent primer jar and lid falls apart, go buy a 3 dollar jar of antacid tablets (or old vitamin bottle etc.) at the dollar store.

that is what I did too, only because I found a 2nd one at a very VERY reasonable price.

You actually have to use the handle in your press? :)

Almost all of my rifle reloading is neck sizing, so I don't use the handle. I even bump the shoulders on all of my 300 WM, dirty ought six, 6.5x55 AI, blah, blah....and still don't use the handle.

Of note, I do use a little touch of Hornady sizing lube on the brass having the shoulders bumped and dry case neck lube for neck sizing.

priming ?? pros..good feel..adjusts to any size base....negatives....just like any single load primer set up....sloooo

The only negative that I have about my Co-ax press (an older one) is that the yoke on the handle isn't elongated enough to clear micrometer die setups. You will see the more rounded yokes (like mine) and the elongated ones, which must be newer. Guess I need to order a new yoke. Don

bringing the thread back from the dead.

I noticed on my Lee press, the handle wants to "give a little" at the bottom of stroke. It feels like it wants to keep moving ever so slightly even though the stroke has bottomed out. I think this is what contributed to the differences in shoulder bump and seating differences.

Used a Dillon 650 and a Co Ax and both felt solid at bottom of stroke with no "give". Dillon doesn't fit my need since I don't load high volume. Forster I would have to backorder (not an issue though to wait).
