Forster co-ax and redding die setup problem

What am I doing wrong, it seems the die is not long enough. 30 Nosler, 215 Bergers trying to load to an oal of 3.600"+ or more but to get the die to slightly cam over for consistent seating and backing the dial as far as I can without it coming off the Oring I can only get to 3.560". am I missing something or are these dies only made for sami specs or do I have to deal with inconsistent seating and leave the die up a little higher,(no cam over), or is there a die that has more inside length?

If it is a comp seater, there is a hole in the top, stick correct size allen wrench in it, back seat plug stop out some, a lot in your case

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I can raise the die and seat, I just have always liked a slight cam over for the consistency of seating depth because of the tiny bit of play in the die slot even using there rings.

big bulls. your cam over is a no no , could damage your seating die . try this , make a reference mark on the threads @ the set screw on the locking ring , losen the set screw, back off 1 turn this will = .071 thou, turn your mic down .031 thou. presto magic. good luck .dave

His die sliding sleeve cannot come in contact with the shellholder plate, it is impossible. The case sticks out 1/4"

No cam over on the comp seat die. Lightly touching is ok.
Could you place a dummy round in the shell holder ,raise the ram than assemble the Die indexing to zero on your personal CBTO? Then if you want.016 jump just turn the micro adjustment to 16 seat and confirm?
Hey didn’t post #15 just say the same thing””:p
Maybe I’m not as dumb as I look

By all means. I had already admitted I was wrong above. If you are camming over on to die surface, about have to be close to sizing brass.
milo. I'am glad we are on the same page now ,I was starting to think I lost more of my marbles. don't have many left anymore. shoot small. dave

Haha, I could not seat a bullet w/o bottoming my press handle out, use die threads to make it happen, then stem adj. I mistook camover in this instance.

Camover is used when sizing to compensate for press deformation from the forces involved in cramming the case into the die.

There isn't that level of force when seating (at least hopefully) so no need for camover.
