Forster 3 in 1 cutting head?

Anyone here use a Forster 3 in 1 trimming head on a forster trimmer? If so how do you like it?

Been debating one for doing 30br an 308 .

Thanks

Yeah I have 3 of them, they produce a nice consistent cut. Paired with a cordless screwdriver they make trimming pretty fast and easy. Only way I'd ever get rid of them is if I finally pony up for a Giraud.

I converted my Forster to only 3 way heads. The result is always perfect. Well, as perfect as the Forster collet design so the length is still something to watch, but that the 3 way head does not affect that one way or the other.

Do be aware that the 3 way head lengthens the rotating assembly and this takes away free length for the cartridge. Maybe a half inch. So for example if you were trimming .243 Win you need the Forster with longer base to use the three way.

I have several and love the three steps in one.
I would note that trimming more than 4-5 thousands, at least in 223, can cause the 'ripping' of the mouth.
Also, if you need to adjust the chamfer/debur, it's trial and error until it's right.

Mine resides in a drawer. Whether it was faulty from the factory or not I don't know but it is useless as it is. Hopeless.

The first thing you want to do when you get one of the 3 way trimmers is make sure all the screws are tight. If things move it hard to adjust them.
