Forst Co-Ax press - out-of-stock everywhere

Demand > Supply. Simple, classic economics at work here. I suspect part of the drive in demand is the PRS crowd. The group I follow on facebook (Missouri Steel Tactical) suggest this press about 7/10 when someone asks for a press recommendation. As that sport grows and the participants get into reloading the coax seems to be the most frequently suggested press.

I wanted to upgrade from my ten year old Lee Breech Lock Challenger. I tried the coax last month after reading lots of reviews and recommendations and I couldn't live with the Ergonomics. I tried mounting it several ways and tried adjusting my set up and no matter what I did I couldn't get comfortable. Brownells was gracious enough to take it back. Ended up with a Lee Classic Cast with Breech Lock. Very happy with it.

Ok, in my experience when a product as popular as this goes out of stock everywhere, then wait for the new version. Production halts, retool and new version is then started. BUT it is just an opinion.

I thought about that as a possibility, and maybe it is true. But, looking at older threads, it seems the supply of the Co-Ax regularly temporarily dries up with no new model on the horizon. I am thinking the manufacturer is just a small operation content to make the presses at the same steady rate, and they're in no rush to follow every surge in the market.

Maybe, which is why I labelled it an opinion. They've been around a lonnnnng time for sure.

I agree. It seems like they are hard to come by. But well worth it. I can’t imagine you being unhappy with it.

What is the value of a Forester Coax today? I expect there is a difference between the Forester dealers list price and one you want NOW.
