Forming Brass for the 20 BR

Been trying to find some good info on this but most of its a couple years old....

Here's the question.....

If I take 6br brass and run it through the Redding Type S neck die....then through the body die.....will this bring it down into spec for the 20 br?

Redding is now makine 20 br dies.

I would say go down in a "body die". Never had much luck getting a full length neck size with bushings. Might work for some folks but not me. :(

Alrighty thanks!

But isn't a "body die" just sizing the body of the case? How does one get the neck down to a 20 cal?

If you bring the neck down from 6 or 22 in a body die, that brings it real close and the next step should be a full length die. I've tried necking down with a bushing die but couldn't get a full length neck size so a full length 20 BR die would work the best. I just double checked a 22 in a body die and the 22 bullet slides in the neck so you'll have to be specific with the caliber you work with. Full length after you get it close. Clear as mud isn't it? ::) But it's pretty easy after you mess with it. ;)
