Forming 17 Ackley Hornet brass from 17 Hornady ammunition?

So I ran across another Contender barrel this week. This one is a 17 Ackley Hornet barrel. I'm wondering if one could fireform 17 Ackley Hornet from 17 Hornady ammunition? The reason I ask is because I have around 350-400 rounds of factory Hornady ammo sitting around, and nothing to shoot it in....

17 Hornet uses the full case length of the parent brass, so HH is short. A quick search will show you what you seek.

I have done it just to see what it would do everything forms fine it's just short which means the neck isn't long enough which makes a pretty bad carbon ring
