Fore-end 3" Benchrest Adapter Options?

I sold my annie because there was no way to get it to fit on anything. Just wasn't made for what I wanted to do. Darn good rifle. That money went toward a tool I could use.
Depends on the Annie
This works pretty good on the MPR and some prone guns

I needed something to widen out a Choate stock I cut up for a pistol stock. Since the Choate had a rail the Freeland style worked pretty well for not much money. I started with a Choate second for 90 some bucks delivered just to try since I was going to hacksaw it any how. Next one I ordered a McMillan inlet for a 700R with a 3" forend.

It's not on in this picture. It went on and off easily and was solid.

When shooting one of my hunters off the front rest and bag this is the one that feels best.

looking for ideas about putting a 3" benchrest adapter and attaching it via a sling stud. any ideas are appreciated (include links if possible). thanks in advance, Bryant
I have the Sinclair unit, and have no problems with it. Works justb like they say. Tommy Mc. Attaches to the sling stud.

I've got I think 5 of these:

They work great! If you have an accessory (hand stop) rail they slide right in, if you have a Picatinny rail you need the adapter. For a couple of guns with neither, I added a short piece of Picatinny rail, using the sling stud hole and drilling another hole. Worked great, but you might have to shim one end to get it level.

I also have one of the ones the Urban Rifleman sells for Picatinny rails and like it also.

I have two of the Sinclair type in all aluminum I'll give to two paying members, you pay the shipping cost. Details later today.

Bill
If you're a contributing member and want one, speak up. These are home made and will need the padding on one replaced, maybe both. They work great but ugly as hell. I went with a JP Enterprises Benchrest Forearm Adaptor mounted on an Area 419 4.5" ARCA rail.

Shipping will be $11.00 cash for USPS flat rate box.

Sling stud screw.
Is that a typical wood screw thread, or does it have a metal insert with fine pitched threads?

I have a Sinclair front adapter in a box somewhere because I wasn’t convinced the basic screw into stock wood could handle it. (To be fair, I never did try it so I don’t know)

I made a few of those from delrin or HDPE. I used an Arca mount found on Amazon. I've also made them to mount onto Picatinny rails.

For the Savage BVSS adapter the screw that is included actually fits the screw hole of the Savage and it is a metric thread. One could certainly use a screw that would be appropriate for their sling stud which could probably be found at the local hardware store.

Here is the BVSS. The BVSS, with a little JB weld can be made to fit pretty much anything less than 2.25" wide hunting and varmint style stocks.
