For You NV and thermal guys that are sick of dead batteries....My Solution

All right, guys, since this is a pretty good forum. And there's a pretty good number of educated people here

I figured I would share my little invention with you.

I'm a former engineer and a machinist
I've been reloading and hunting varmints, my whole life..

So I have a natural tendency to make things when i have a need to solve a problem.

So after having spent a good amount of time coming up the years with night vision. And thermals to the present day

I seem to find myself pissed off out in the field. All the time because of dead batteries

No matter what the manufacturer's claim, the estimated hours are. They are never accurate and always lacking

When you are using NV and you are powering up an infrared torch

Or thermals, and you are using the laser range finder for your ballistic calculator you are obviously using power quickly

I have had many anker power packs
Mounted to my pic rails.
And they have discontinued them because apparently they are blowing up

That's the beauty of lithium ion batteries. You're carrying around a little
Molotov cocktail.

So I decided to spend some time in the shop with my brother and overcome this obstacle

When I set out to do this, I wanted to utilize eighteen six fifty batteries as they are readily available

I also wanted to have a self sustaining system

So my first prototype, I will present to you
It is fully patent pending

So i'm covered there if anybody decides to try to copy it
Obviously I will sick my lawyer on them.

This is the HUD MK1
HandGuard Unlimited Duration (HUD)

I have two tubes holding four eighteen six fifty batteries each for a total of eight.

I have created a custom circuit
That incorporates two custom e t f e solar panels.

For constant charging to the battery bank
It has circuitry installed to halt charging after the bank is fully charged..

You can call that protection
It has two u s b ports supplying five volts for power to your gear .

It also has a type c charging port that goes directly to the power bank.

When you run these batteries in series
As I was forced to do with the tube configuration..

The voltage was combined. Therefore, I had to install a mini buck converter to drop the power down to 5 volts..

I built this thing extremely rugged, and has a integrated arca rail On the bottom with a stop.

This thing is marine proof..
Even crayon eaters cannot harm it.

I installed the electrical ports on the bottom to keep it dry.In a rainy situation

I do plan on making these for chassis for bolt action rifles as well.

I also have patented single tubes with a single e t f e solar panel on it
And again, a u s b port and type c charging port that will mount to a pic rail or m lock

These will probably be popular because you can mount it to any current platform without having to change out.My custom hand guard or chassis.

I have been working with one leaf and I am an affiliate partner

I have been working hard with them to get them to change the type c charging port
To supply auxiliary power to their units onto the left side
Away from the action side
They have finally done that and incorporated into the Mini that I have just received from them.

What you will see here is my cable routing currently to the MT1000 640 thermal
With a seventy five millimeter lens.

It's a beast .

I recommend only using magnetic breakaway style connections for your type c.Ports
They are extremely fragile, and I am really trying to get one leaf to change over to an aircraft style waterproof two pin female to male threaded barrel type coupling
The industry really needs to change the way they are making things for anything that is out in the field. And can get damaged extremely easy

Electrical connections are most certainly one of the most important aspects

This is just a prototype
I don't actually have the money to set up a manufacturing shop.

I will most likely look to potential
Sales of these patents.

I have purchased enough electronics
From china, before all of these tariffs kicked in
To build out about three hundred of these units

I had the solar panels made custom
Buy a company over there. They are e t f e they are extremely efficient and extremely durable with a matte finish.

These things would be handcrafted
Here in america..lol..
On my bench

And in my brother's shop
Where we built the first prototype.

Until I get somebody to mass, produce these things.

Currently, I have this prototype on a 65 creed

With a twenty two inch barrel

Once PTG gets my reamers here.I will take one of these twenty six inch Hart barrels
Turn it down install a extension
And ream it to the 20 250 Improved .
Those Lil 55 Bergers are gonna be brutal

This thermal on this rifle is just outstanding.
40 x mag with a 75mm lens
640 ..

The laser range fighter ballistic calculator are the whip .

That Raptor 10 ring keeps this thing a fart in the wind at night.
