For those that actually have the new 6BR brass

Would you please mic one or two just above the extractor groove on the web and let us know what the measurement is?

My 500 from back in August measures .46880

Would like to know what the new batch measures.

Am in UK so not the batch sent to USA,but very recent nonetheless,bought about 2 wks ago).Have miked up a few where you requested and are coming out at .4655 pretty much all the same.Hope this helps.

Steve Hanover just measured some and it was .468, maybe a little over, measured with calipers. He says this is exactly the same,measured with his calipers) as the brass from last year. With the range of accuracy of calipers, this could be the same as my 2004 brass which runs .4685 on my calipers.

Mines a Mitutoyo Digimatic Micrometer #293-761-30.

They do make it nice.

I just got some from Champion Shooter's Supply that I had on back order. Using a Starret 221 mic it is very close to .46885.

I don't know much about mics, just read what the display was when I miked the cases.

I measured mine on arrival yesterday and got .468 on a random sampling of 10. I checked 2 for runout and didn't see anything noteworthy. -Rod-

I just checked one of my new boxes with a old beat up sos mic, and i got .469ish. but i dont really trust this mic. ill take it into work and use my good mic tomorrow.

ok so im at work now and checked some new norma and some new lapua 6br brass i have. the norma is measuring .4675 and the lapua from the new batch is measuring .469
